Episode 79 (Emily)

[00:00:00] Emma-Louise Parkes: Hello. Hello. Welcome to this week’s episode of the ambitious introvert. I’m Emma Louise, and I have a very special guest, very good friend of mine and someone that has been instrumental in the ambitious introvert brand over the last few months, Emily.

[00:00:25] Emily Walker: Hi. Oh my goodness. I’m so excited to be.

[00:00:29] Emma-Louise Parkes: I’m so excited, but because we have rearranged this recording about full-time

[00:00:35] Emily Walker: life has been happening hard.

[00:00:37] Emma-Louise Parkes: Both of us, fifth time, lucky fits I’m the king. So Emily has, as I say, been helping me are locked with the brand which we’ll discuss, and she’s also become a very good friend so much so that we are now recording and I’m in my dressing gown because that is how comfortable. I feel with you, but please introduce yourself to my audience and tell [00:01:00] them a little bit about your business and what your.

[00:01:03] Emily Walker: Yes, absolutely. So, as you mentioned, my name’s Emily, I don’t know. I almost have to restate my name when I introduced myself and I am a course creation expert. So I go by lots of different titles, learning designer, transformation architect, Amber Ray calls me her course doula. Basically, all of that means that I am an expert in helping you take all of that.

All of that genius inside your head and turning it into a life-changing online program that not only gets your people incredible results, but it’s a program that you are completely obsessed with because I just really believe that when we’re totally in love with our programs, then it makes selling them easier.

It makes sharing them easier. It just makes everything feel so much better for everyone.

[00:01:46] Emma-Louise Parkes: So when I first got into the online space, I got really overwhelmed with everything because, you know, marketing and all of the things, and I bought a course on how to make a call. [00:02:00] Because they were like,

[00:02:01] Emily Walker: you need to call us, everybody needs a car.

[00:02:04] Emma-Louise Parkes: You can’t run a business without, of course it’s passive income. You need a call,

[00:02:08] Emily Walker: air quotes,

[00:02:10] Emma-Louise Parkes: you know, this is, this is the future, you know, of course I was like, yeah. And I didn’t even have a website or plans or anything, but I bought this course about making a course, um, by someone that’s very well known in the course making world.

Doing courses about making courses. Um, and it was actually really just a marketing course. He was very much like, this is how you market your course, and this is what you do. And this is how you sell your course. And this is how you set up a landing page, but no one actually cared about what was in the course, really.

[00:02:43] Emily Walker: Yeah, that is so, unfortunately that is so common. And that, I mean, that’s why I got started in my business is because I just, I saw that happening so much. And like I was over in the corporate world, helping people, design courses and certifications where it’s so common in the corporate space to hire someone like me, [00:03:00] to make sure that you were intentionally designing the learning experience.

And then I hopped over into the online space and I saw all of these courses on courses that wouldn’t be like, step one, to. Step to somehow create your course, step three to 17. Here’s how to market your course. And here’s how to build a webinar funnel. And here’s how to launch your course. And here’s all these things.

And I was like, okay. I mean, that’s great. We need to know how to sell things, but what are we selling and how are we getting our people results? And how do we know that we’re actually doing. Give them a good experience. And what ends up happening is people just get so overwhelmed because they have so many ideas and so much love for their audience.

And they have no idea how to put it into a course. Raise your hand,

[00:03:41] Emma-Louise Parkes: really me guilty. But I just it’s so true because. Why, what makes us think we can create a course or a program? I’m sure many listeners are not in a long game. I’ve done one of those terrible programs. So, you know, I’ve been in that terrible course.

I mean, Mimi’s come to join [00:04:00] us. Um, you know, obviously this is not a video podcast. No one can see, but Mimi has come to join. The party is rubbing her mouth against the microphone.

[00:04:11] Emily Walker: It just has to be here. I know I have to lose this next to me as well. And he’s just like reaching one pot out onto my laptop.

So if I suddenly disappear it’s because he’s trying to meet. Okay. Okay. So it’s me, you and

[00:04:20] Emma-Louise Parkes: the cats. Me, you, but, but no, I said in the podcast episode last week, actually, I was like, something people do is they make an everything course where they put in everything. Everything they’ve ever learned about business ever from day one.

And then they throw in extra things and they throw in like 20 guest experts. And to me that’s like the worst type of thing to do, especially for introverts and empaths and highly sensitive is because you end up in Kajabi, just go in. Wow. I’m drowning. And I have no idea. What to do next?

[00:04:57] Emily Walker: Yeah. I have no idea.

What am I supposed to be [00:05:00] doing? Where am I supposed to be starting? I mean, I think that’s why, like, we always, we hear like the completion rates turnaround in the core space of like less than 10% of people are going to finish your course. But like, I bet the number is actually a lot smaller than that, because I think so many people get so excited.

They sign up for a course and then they get inside of it and they’re like, I don’t know what’s happening. And either it’s like a noticeable overwhelm or confusion of like, I don’t even know where to go or it’s like that like beautiful lie that we tell ourselves around like, oh, I’ll come back to this later.

When I have more time, I can focus better. My desk will be clean. You know, it’s like that level of like, I’ll save it till later, but it’s exactly like you said. And I think it’s because, you know, The kind of main voices in the industry share an approach to creating the course, which is like, what’s everything, choose your topic.

What’s everything, you know, on that topic, write it down and then just chunk it up into like groups and call them modules. And you’re done. And there’s no intentionality, there’s no discernment. There’s no kind of like, how do I put these [00:06:00] pieces in the right order? And how do I make sure that I’m including the right stuff

[00:06:05] Emma-Louise Parkes: where I think this is particularly damaging.

Is for people like me because it knocks, they’re confident. So many people have said, you know, oh, well, if I can’t even complete the school, like what chance have I got of running a business? Or they feel like they failed, or they feel like this is too hard for me when. It’s just that the information has been presented in a really bad way.

Like that one bad teacher that was obviously really knowledgeable about, you know, geography or whatever the thing is, but they can’t teach for tophi because they just don’t know how to present the information.

[00:06:42] Emily Walker: They just can’t do it. And I think that’s the thing is like, unless you have. An education background.

Most of us have never really been in that teaching experience before. It’s a, it’s a new skill in the same way that like when we come into the online space, unless you have a marketing background, you have to learn how to market. Unless you have a branding background, you have to learn your branding. [00:07:00] You know, if you’ve never coached before you have to learn coaching.

And yet, for some reason when it comes to creating a course and teaching and educating, that’s the piece that everyone feels like they can just do. They can just like hop in and just be like, okay, I do this. Without any support and exact, like you said, it impacts both sides for the learner. They feel like I’ve done something wrong.

There’s something wrong with me. How can I not complete this experience, but also for you as the creator and the leader of your program, it can feel so overwhelming because you’re like I have to teach all this stuff. I have to create these huge videos. I have to like do more and more and more if I want to give value to my people.

And as an end result, this ends up paralyzing everyone in.

[00:07:40] Emma-Louise Parkes: I did say in last week’s episode, actually, I feel like when we worked together, I brain dumped my entire Brighton to you over the course of like three months and shared with you, like every framework, every strategy, like everything that I do. And then we probably put like 20% of it.[00:08:00]

Into this and to start at the scale up, because that’s what was needed in that package. Like if I’d have put everything that I know in there, it would just be crazy.

[00:08:10] Emily Walker: Yeah. It would just, it would be too much. And I think that’s like, it’s so funny. That seems to be the theme of the day. I’ve already said this to someone, people that like the, the mindset shift that needs to happen is because when we’re creating our program, especially for, I know the people, the type of people who are listening to those podcasts, you care about your.

So much, like they are at the heart of everything. You do, you like, you love your audience, you love your clients. So everything you’re doing is coming from this place of love and wanting them to have an amazing experience, but what ends up happening? I often compare it to like, you know, when a mom’s getting her little one ready to go outside, it’s like, well, it might rain.

So put on a raincoat, you might get hungry, you still take a snack and you might need to like climb a mountain. So take your mountain climbing gear and all before you know it, this kid’s like carrying like all of these things. And they’re like, I was just going to go down the street. Play with my friends at the park.

Like it’s from this place of love that you’re giving people way too much. And so we need to [00:09:00] reframe the fact that like actually a high value experience has less in it. It’s almost like we just need to Marie Kondo our content and dump it all out like we did, but then be like, okay, I’m only picking like my three favorite shirts and those are the ones that get to go back in the closet.

[00:09:16] Emma-Louise Parkes: And we’ll talk a little bit more about what the process looked like, but I do definitely feel like, you know, when we looked over afterwards, we still like put stuff, took stuff out because we’re like, that’s almost a duplicate of this. Or do they really need to do that? Like right now, is that the most important thing?

Because you could just fill the time up and they could end up having to do like five hours of curriculum a week. And, you know, I want people that are committed and the program, but I’m not expecting anyone to do like five hours a week for four months.

[00:09:45] Emily Walker: Yeah. We’re not, not doing a university degree here.

[00:09:47] Emma-Louise Parkes: No, exactly, exactly. So I had, um, last year I completed a certification. Um, conscious consultant certification with Gemma went and I went through that [00:10:00] certification and it was phenomenal because she had paid someone to design it. And it was the first program really that I had gone through that I had been.

Wow. By like the whole, from the day we started, the day we finished, it felt like a journey. And I felt completely like encapsulated in it and in a good way, and everything was just smooth transitions and it just felt amazing. And that was when I decided I was like, when I finished this and I make my signature program, I have to work.

With a designer, because that is how I want my people to feel. And I know Gemma said that was the first time she’d worked with Juan and she’s actually had her designer go back through all of her other programs now, because she’s an understands that the kind of value of

[00:10:50] Emily Walker: it. Oh, I love that. And I think it, like, it really is noticeable.

Like the programs that have had a learning designer on them are the ones, like you said, that are like [00:11:00] guiding people through a journey where you’re feeling supportive. But it also it’s, those are the ones that feel unique. They don’t just feel like, oh, this course has been thrown together and I’ve got my videos.

I’ve got my workbooks, or I’ve just copied what I’ve seen everyone else doing in an online course. And this is what it needs to look like. It really does make such an impact between the learners experience, but also your experience as the leader of the program being like, oh my goodness, like this gets to be my program.

Like this is so cool. And I feel so confident knowing that I have thought about every single angle of how people are going to move through this journey. So I know they’re going to get results, but they’re also going to have a phenomenal time during the.

[00:11:39] Emma-Louise Parkes: And it helps me because, you know, I’m, I’m coming up to, you know, launch mode and I’m creating things.

I’m writing sales pages and I’m talking about it to people. And I just feel so confident in it because I know exactly what’s in it. I know exactly what it does. I can invest, you know, in visage where people are when they start, where they are, when they, [00:12:00] when they finish, rather than just like, oh yeah, it’s a course.

And you get a bunch of stuff. No, I’m taking you on a transformation

[00:12:09] Emily Walker: transformation, which I think exactly. Oh, I love that. You said like it’s a course and you get a bunch of stuff versus like this transformation, because I think that’s what ends up happening is like people who kind of just like throw something together or like maybe, you know, follow someone’s model.

That’s more marketing focused is they can end up being like, you get 80 pages of workbooks and you get a thousand hours of videos and you get 10 modules or whatever. And we, we ended up focusing on like these like quantitative. Pieces of the course versus like, you’re going to feel this and you’re going to have this in your life and you’re going to have this in your business and like deep, let me paint you in a really clear picture of what your life looks like at the end of this course.

And I can paint you such a clear picture because I am a hundred percent confident I can get you there. And I know exactly the actions I’m going to take you on to get you.

[00:12:52] Emma-Louise Parkes: I love that you mentioned that this like selling on metrics almost like it’s this many hours and this many workbooks and this many [00:13:00] modules, because it’s a little bit.

Social media. One of my clients was like, oh, I really don’t want to do reels. Like, you know, oh, everyone’s doing reels. And I remember I was quite, you know, quite adamant about it. I was like, you do not have to do reels. Like no one is buying from reels. Reels are vanity metrics. No one is buying. No one is going to watch your reel and spend 10 grand with you from watching your reel.

And then what did I do, Emily?

[00:13:27] Emily Walker: You signed up with me through one real.

[00:13:31] Emma-Louise Parkes: I did exactly that, but that’s not strip of true real. I will say it was a great reel because you were calling out bro marketing. But, um, I just had to add that in because it’s so funny that I’m like, nobody buys from reels now. It’s like, I buy from real, but I didn’t just see the real and like spend 10 grand.

I sold a reel and I started to follow. And then I binged the rest of your content and we’d obviously been connected somehow. Cause I D I do not sit and watch reels. So someone had shared your [00:14:00] reel or something like that. And then I signed up to a newsletter and then I read your newsletter and then I read your website and then I invested, but I, I just think he’s really interested what the real did was made me go.

Oh yeah, like she gets. So it’s not necessarily like that’s going to convert you straight away, but it’s like, okay, we’re on the same wavelength. This is a good place to start. I’m going to invest some time and getting to know this person, stalking, stalking them. Yeah.

[00:14:27] Emily Walker: Gentle, friendly stocking. But then you’re just like, I feel like we could become like this besties and then like we did.

[00:14:33] Emma-Louise Parkes: Yeah. And I remember I got on the, I got on the call and I was like, I was like already. Yes, really? It was just, you know, like how long do we need to work together on? And like, do you want me.

[00:14:45] Emily Walker: Yeah, which is just like, I mean, that’s just like my favorite type of call when it’s like, oh my goodness, you’re doing amazing things.

Let’s get it out there in the world. And then let’s just like, hang out all the time.

[00:14:56] Emma-Louise Parkes: So let’s give people a little sneaky peek, a little [00:15:00] stalk of their own behind the scenes as to what it looks like when you’re working with someone and designing a course or certification or program. Now I actually started out designing a course for you.

[00:15:14] Emily Walker: Yeah, you did. It definitely went through some transformations of its own.

[00:15:18] Emma-Louise Parkes: Did we thought we had decided on a course, I was pretty adamant that it was a course. And then after about week two, you were like, I think this is a program.

[00:15:27] Emily Walker: Yeah. And that’s, that’s what I love about the process is because sometimes we can come into it and we’re like, it’s going to be a course and it’s going to have this many modules and it’s going to do this, that or the other.

And I always like to start with it kind of a blank slate where we, we start with the journey that we want for our people. How do we want to feel how we want them to feel and getting so clear? Where are they now? And where are we taking them? And I mean, it’s why I use magic. And so many of my program titles, because it really does feel like sorcery when it’s happening, because naturally things kind of start to organically rise to the surface.

And I think that’s where we start to [00:16:00] be like, oh yeah, I think this is a program. But even within that, we found some smaller pieces. Right. Tease out as smaller courses, if you want it to, or like you were like, well, these pastes can be over in your mastermind or something like that. You know, all of these things just kind of started to come together to build out this beautiful offer ecosystem.

[00:16:19] Emma-Louise Parkes: Yeah. I, I came to think, can I just build an a course and we actually built a group program, a mastermind, um, a low ticket opt-in and probably three mini courses that could be. Pulled out.

[00:16:33] Emily Walker: Yeah. Which I, I just love it. And that’s why I always love to refer to things as like an offer ecosystem. It doesn’t have to be a linear journey.

I know some people are like, oh, I need to have a low ticket offer. And then kind of like a transition. And then it goes into my one-to-one or something like that. Instead of being like, sometimes there’s ways we can use the same pieces of what we’re teaching to serve people at different levels, whether it’s different investment levels or different points in their journey or whatever it needs to be.

So I think that was just like one of those. [00:17:00] Happy side effects of, of our work

[00:17:02] Emma-Louise Parkes: together. So one of the things with start at the scale up, there’s probably a little bit different, I would say than a lot of group coaching containers. Is that the first module? No business strategy whatsoever. It’s vision and values.

And that was really important to me because I have been through programs that just throw you in and you start to design a product or service or revenue model, and it can actually stop to think about what do I want my data look like? What do I want my life to look like? How much do I actually want to earn?

You know, what kind of team do I want to have or any of that? So. It was kind of like a backward step, I guess. Cause we start by going. Okay, well let’s not even think about business. Let’s think about you.

[00:17:49] Emily Walker: Yeah. Which I love, I think it’s, it provides such an amazing lens for the rest of the program. And I know how we kind of arrived there as we were like, okay.

Like we know where we want to get our [00:18:00] people to, we have this vision of how we want them to feel at the end of the program, but we’re like, okay, they need the solid foundation. They almost need. A lens of discernment for all the decisions that they’re making. And I know we kind of like tested it. We’re like, okay, should they take this action first?

Or should they take this action first? And we realized exactly, like you said, it’s like, if they don’t have a vision, they don’t know what matters most to them. If they don’t know the life, they’re kind of trying to create, they’re not going to be able to get through. Any of the rest of this. And that’s how we just kind of arrived at that like really, really key starting point.

And we even like, we were like, okay, well, you know, people might be like a little resistant to this, but like the more that we can show them, like this is what opens up so many possibilities, then the business pieces just fall into place. After that.

[00:18:41] Emma-Louise Parkes: I love that thing about resistance because that comes up all the way through.

Kind of designed it well based on my clients, but based on myself as well. So we designed it in a way that at the start of every module, there’s a video saying, [00:19:00] this is what you’re going to do. And this is why, because I know for me, if someone just says, go and do this. Y that’s the first thing that I’m going to ask.

And if I, if they give me a good explanation on that, I can see the justification for it. I’ll happily go do it. So it was like, I don’t want people to stall. I’m going to tell them why before they can even ask it or

[00:19:21] Emily Walker: think it. Yeah, that is like one of the best tricks you can add into your course. So whether you are starting brand new and you’re just like, okay, I need to make sure to include this, or you already have a course.

Then you can go back in and add it as a little tiny video or a little tiny bit of text. It’s I like to refer to it as like high school algebra syndrome where you’re like sitting in high school and you’re like learning algebra and you’re sitting there. Why do I need to do this? I am never going to use it again in my life.

Like, why can’t you teach me how to do my taxes? Like we’re just learning these things and we can’t see any practical application. And so as adult learners, we are short on time. We are short on attention. We are short on energy. We have. A lot of things that are competing [00:20:00] for our attention. And so if we’re starting our people in a program and we’re not telling them exactly why they’re doing everything along the way, that’s where you’re going to have those exit points.

So people are like, oh, I’ll come back to this later. I’ll come back to this when I have more time so that they don’t come back. So the more we can say like, Hey, this is your goal. And this is why, what I’m teaching you is direct. Connected to this goal, and you may feel like I don’t see the connection. So here it is.

And being able to reiterate that to people every step of the way, just really helps people feel confident that like again, every single element of this program has been intentionally put there and have been intentionally put in that order to get you to your vision as fast as possible.

[00:20:41] Emma-Louise Parkes: So, obviously I am a business coach working with entrepreneurs and you know, there’s a lot of business coaches and there’s a lot of group programs out there.

Um, all slightly different, all tailor for different audiences, maybe different stages of business, but you work with all kinds of people. You have helped design [00:21:00] some amazing, the diverse courses and programs. What, what kind of things have you worked on?

[00:21:07] Emily Walker: It’s more like what kind of thing haven’t I worked on and like, that’s.

I love about what I do is because you come to me as a subject matter expert and I work as like the learning expert. So like, I don’t need to have a deep understanding of your subject matter. It’s actually better when I don’t, because then I bring the same. Lens as your learner, who’s like new into your world.

And so I’ve worked with all sorts of different coaches, you know, business coaches, mindset, coaches, relationship, and intimacy coaches. I’ve worked with creatives from like graphic designers to copywriters. You know, I got my start in the corporate world where I designed, you know, certifications for universities.

I designed programs on like saving the whales. I think that was one of my favorites where it was like helping people who had like large boats navigate areas. The whales were moving, um, was always so fun, but I just think I’ve seen so many things. I’ve helped people with, [00:22:00] um, like pet care businesses. So like people who were like dog walkers, people who were veterinary inventory managers, I chatted with someone who’s a coach for people with curly hair.

Like I’ve just done. I’ve just been. Seen all the things, which I think is like, it’s so cool. And so many levels, one, it’s just proof that like really, there’s so many different ways of serving the world and that there, you can create an online program, a scalable program for, for pretty much anything. It might not, it’s not going to look the same as everyone else’s and there’s so many different varieties out there, but really it’s like, there’s there’s room for everyone, which I just think is so cool.

[00:22:37] Emma-Louise Parkes: I love it. I love it. So one of the things we did with mine as well, It could have been shorter. It could have been shorter. I have seen programs claiming that commas to cover the same kind of thing in like 12 weeks. And this is 16 weeks [00:23:00] because no, myself, I know my clients, we decided to add in implementation weeks.

So how have you seen. The Sutton, you know, certain courses and programs go very quickly and the information is front-loaded versus some are a lot more spread out and drip fed.

[00:23:19] Emily Walker: Absolutely. I like to. When we’re talking about how long a program is and how spread out it is. There’s a couple of different factors that come into play here.

And I actually have a great post on this, on my Instagram. If anyone’s looking for it, talking about transformation, sustainability, which is how long can people sustain a transformation or how long can they walk this journey before they start to burn out? And so the programs that go really quickly where people see success are ones that have been.

Smaller transformation. So like the points on the journey tend to be like a, a shorter, smaller, more manageable transformation versus these ones that we have that are stretched out over like a luxurious [00:24:00] 16 weeks. Those are the ones that when you have that live connection, where you have that live energy, it really does give people space to deepen into the experience.

Because what often we see is people pick a 12 weeks like, oh, I’m going to have a 90 day program just cause it sounds like. Like 90 days in this transformation, but I bet if you checked their, their testimony. More than half, if not, almost all of their students, aren’t actually getting to that transformation in the 90 days, they might see like a really good, you know, results, but it might not be exactly what was promised versus I know with your program, we were really intentional about wanting to make sure that people could actually achieve what we were leading them through.

And so making sure they had that space and I love the implementation weeks of giving people some time to deepen into it and integrate and like get caught up if they need.

[00:24:50] Emma-Louise Parkes: Uh, systems catch up with our brain. It’s like just being like, oh, I’ve just created this amazing package. You know, that I’m going to learn how to mark it in the next module, [00:25:00] but we’ve also got to be ready to do that rather than just like, oh, you’ve done that on Thursday, right on Friday.

Let’s go, go onto the next thing. Um, but also I think it’s very important that people don’t feel like they’re behind. Because life happens is we have rearranged this podcast recording like four times life happens and sometimes people maybe won’t have the opportunity to do all of the work in that week.

And then if they feel bad, they can’t turn up the next week. So the call because, you know, everyone else has moved on and they haven’t had chance to do it. I think that can just be very, just really detrimental.

[00:25:34] Emily Walker: It can be so hard for people. And I think that’s where it’s like finding that balance of like accountability that moves people through the program, but also like gentleness and an ability for people to adapt.

Like I even know in my group coaching program, the incubator where I lead people through kind of designing and building and launching their courses, I always say I’m like, okay, I’ve given you a timeline of what to do over these four months. And if you follow my timeline, you’re going to have your [00:26:00] course launch at the end of this.

But it’s most important. My biggest priority is that you honor your energy and you honor where you’re at. And so if you feel like that’s too tight, if you feel like that’s not going to work for you, then give yourself more space. And so I think that’s something that we can do in our programs is always say like, here’s, you know what you can do to keep yourself up at a good pace.

Here’s some success tips. Here’s how to create a good learning environment, but also here’s how you can be gentle with yourself and give yourself space. If life is happening hard, like it has been to all of us over the past two years. And

[00:26:32] Emma-Louise Parkes: also, you know, you and I are in agreement with this, about giving people access to the learning materials forever.

It’s not just like, oh, your four months is up and now you can’t log in anymore. Like, we are both probably on the generous side with that, but again, for me, it’s twofold. Firstly, it is that if someone lapses and falls behind a little bit, because. You know, they’ve got busy with something else. I would hate someone to get to the end of the program and that it’s just like [00:27:00] those clothes you run out of time.

Um, but also like the frameworks that I have, and I know for you as well in the incubator, People can use them at any stage of business. People can come back to them. They can, they can scale. They can be growing. They can, you know, have doubled their revenue from when they started working with me and they want to add something else, but they can come back and those frameworks work every level of business.

So I think it’s really important for them to have that access, to be able to utilize. You know the skills over and over and over again.

[00:27:32] Emily Walker: Yeah. Well, that’s how they deepen into the learning. And like, that’s why I love that we designed the program almost as like cyclical in a way, like it’s, it’s not just a straight line from like start hearing you out at the end and then you’re done.

It’s like, okay. And once you get to the end, here’s how you can go back and revisit the material. Here’s how you can go deeper with what you’ve learned, because I think it reiterates your philosophy around the fact that like there isn’t. The secret that comes out at a certain level of business with this is how you do it all along.

It’s like, no, it’s like, these are the [00:28:00] fundamental pieces that you need to do. And I’m going to teach you how to do them and how to integrate them and how to like accept them in a way that feels really good for you. And that, like you said, can be used at every level of this.

[00:28:12] Emma-Louise Parkes: I think that there is no magic secret is the place to wrap up the message of hope.

It means you can stop scrambling around the internet, looking for the magic secret. Emily, thank you so much for all. For everything. With me and my business, but for joining us today, before I let you go, obviously I’m going to ask you for your book recommendation that you would suggest to any ambitious introverts, empath, highly sensitive entrepreneur who is looking to start, grow, or scale their business.

[00:28:44] Emily Walker: Oh, yes. Oh, I love this question. I feel like I can go on forever about books, but I’ll pick just one, which cause it’s what I’m using currently. And it’s Amber raised new books called the answers are within you. And what I love about it is it’s like an Oracle book in the sense that you can start at the beginning and [00:29:00] read it all the way through.

Open it intuitively to a page and it has a message and a small exercise for you. So if it’s like, and it might say something like, oh, like I’m dealing with anxiety and she’ll have a little story and then a little exercise to do. And I love about it because like every time I open it, the page is almost exactly what I need to hear.

It really is like an Oracle book. So I that’s my current obsession. It sits on my coffee table. I look at it almost every day.

[00:29:23] Emma-Louise Parkes: I love it. Everything you need is inside of you as one of my favorite quotes. So coastline on that. Thank you so much. We’re going to pop all of your links in the show notes, obviously.

And if everyone wants to come and watch your amazingly entertaining reels on Instagram, we recommend they do not browse Instagram, watching reels. Emily’s cause they read,

[00:29:46] Emily Walker: oh, well, thank you so much for having me. This was so much fun. And I was just like, oh, the whole process of seeing your program come to life.

I just know like, if anyone has been thinking about joining this program, like now is the time to jump in because it’s so freaking good. And there has been [00:30:00] so much love and so much time poured into this program. So I have no doubt, like the results are going to be mind blowing.

[00:30:06] Emma-Louise Parkes: I’m going to pull back out to the students that join it as well.

Yes. I love that. Thank you so much.
